In June, Malawi sent a delegation from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining to attend the Mining on Top: Africa - London Summit. During the summit, Patrick Mabvuto, Director for Finance and Administration from the Ministry, gave a presentation and said

The meeting provided a rare opportunity to get knowledge of what other African countries are doing to promote and develop the mining industry. The case of Kenya was trail blazing provided a unique opportunity to network with private sector and investors.
