Apply for Earth Sciences PhD on Malawi’s Chilwa Alkaline Province, University of Exeter

The University of Exeter is looking for a student to undertake the PhD project “Understanding the origin of alkaline igneous provinces and associated critical metal mineralisation: the Chilwa Alkaline Province, Malawi“. This is the area where Mkango Resources Songwe Hill Rare Earth Project is located. The PhD is financed through the British Research Council Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Great Western Four+ (GW4+) Doctoral Training Partnership.

Prof Frances Wall (University of Exeter) is the main supervisor. The project will have the following co-supervisors: Dr Kathryn Goodenough (British Geological Survey), Dr Emma Humphreys-Williams (Natural History Museum), Dr Sam Broom-Fendley (University of Exeter).
